There is a reason I chose the name Tree of Health.
Not because it sounds nice.
Not because it’s “wellness branding”.
Because it reflects how the body actually works.
In clinic, I kept seeing the same pattern.
Women doing everything “right”.
Eating well. Exercising. Taking supplements.
Trying harder and harder but feeling worse.
And the more I looked, the more I realised:
Most healthcare models treat leaves.
Very few treat roots.
The Tree Analogy
If a tree’s leaves are yellowing, you don’t:
Polish the leaves
Tape new leaves on
Blame the tree
You check:
Soil
Water
Sunlight
Root health
The body is no different.
Symptoms are messages.
>Not failures.
>Not weakness.
>Not lack of willpower.
Why This Matters For Women Over 35
Many women begin to notice shifts in their health in their mid-30s and beyond.
Energy levels change.
Weight becomes harder to shift.
Sleep may feel less restorative.
Changes in metabolic and hormonal signalling commonly drive these experiences.
Research has shown that structured lifestyle interventions can improve markers such as insulin sensitivity, fasting glucose and body weight in individuals with metabolic risk factors (PLoS ONE, 2024).
Supporting the systems underlying health can therefore lead to more meaningful and sustainable change than focusing on symptoms alone.
A Different Way Of Thinking About Health
I built Tree of Health around a simple idea.
When you support the roots, the rest of the system begins to respond.
Rather than chasing symptoms, the focus becomes understanding what the body is trying to communicate, and supporting the systems that influence long-term health.
The Philosophy
You cannot build lasting health in 6 weeks.
But when you support the right systems, change happens faster than most people expect.
Like a tree:
If you nourish the roots,
Growth becomes inevitable.
This is the approach behind everything I do at Tree of Health.
