Nourish, Then Flourish
Nourish, Then Flourish
I'm Julia Brosnan - Naturopathic Herbalist supporting women across Australia through personalised, root-cause care.
I grew up in Durban, South Africa, where my mother kept a beautiful herb garden, with quite a variety of herbs.
As a child, I was always in it – smelling the variety of fragrant scents from the leaves, learning about the different textures and shapes of leaves to identify them, reading my mum’s book of herbal recipes, which I found fascinating.
Who would have thought at the time how much those early years would shape the way I would one day see health and healing.
But the seed was planted.
For more than 15 years, I worked in administration and office environments. The corporate world felt cold and disconnected from who I am. I wanted work that felt human. Work that mattered.
Retraining as a naturopathic herbalist in Australia brought me back to everything I’d loved as a child – the soil, the scent of leaves, the quiet wisdom of plants. It felt like coming home.
A childhood garden. A seed planted early. A return to those roots.
True healing begins when we nourish our body, mind and soul.
I love walking beside women as their health begins to change.
Because I know what it feels like to be in a body that suddenly stops behaving the way it once did.
Eighteen months after the birth of my son, I was diagnosed with severe hyperthyroidism.
I had a two-year-old, I was exhausted, and I was snapping at him constantly. I thought I was just a bad mum.
What I didn’t realise was that I was dealing with two things simultaneously: early perimenopause and undiagnosed hyperthyroidism. Declining oestrogen and progesterone. A thyroid running dangerously fast. Both at the same time.
No wonder I couldn’t cope.
My thoughts were racing. My nervous system felt constantly on edge. I would wake at 2am with palpitations so strong it felt like my heart might burst out of my chest.
My hands trembled when I held them out. My cycles shortened. I was losing weight despite eating constantly.
My body felt unfamiliar.
And frightening.
Now, as I navigate perimenopause, I understand first-hand how hormonal shifts affect sleep, stress tolerance, metabolism, energy, mood and confidence, and how unsettling it can feel when your body no longer responds the way it used to.
Through herbs, personalised nutrition and lifestyle changes, my own health has significantly improved, and over 10 years I’ve supported women to do the same.
I work online as a naturopathic herbalist with women all over Australia, sharing in the joy they experience as their bodies begin to respond and flourish.
I love receiving all the messages telling me how much better they’re feeling.
Clearer head. More energy. Better sleep. Lighter in mind and spirit. More hopeful. More connected to their bodies again.
There is something deeply meaningful about supporting a woman through health struggles, and watching her begin to trust her body again.
This is not just what I do. It’s the work I was meant to do. And it’s the heart of Tree of Health.

Your health is never solved with a quick fix.
There is no silver bullet.
No wonder herb or latest weight-loss drug.
Because…
Health has layers.
Life has seasons.
The physical body carries history.
I don’t believe in rigid rules or one-size-fits-all plans for healthcare, because that’s not how life works.
We work with, not against, your body and your life.
Together, we create a program specifically for you, supporting your health on all levels: physical, metabolic, hormonal and emotional.
I combine herbal medicine, personalised nutrition and lifestyle support with a deep understanding of holistic health and modern physiology.
But more than that, I work beside you as both a clinician and a guide. I support your learning, growth and transformation with science-backed compassion, grounded in clinical experience and real lived experience.
My mission is to help women feel strong in body, mind and soul, while being supported on a path that actually lasts.
My aim is for you to reach your health goals, and flourish.
What sets my approach apart from other health programs is the combination of two disciplines that are rarely found together – Western herbal medicine, and certified Metabolic Balance® coaching.
Rather than open-ended consultations, we work together through structured programs designed to support real, lasting change. A clear pathway to help you achieve your health goals.

Health is like a tree.
A tree needs sun, water and nourishing soil to thrive.
From strong, nourished roots, a solid trunk forms its core strength, with branches resilient enough to withstand the elements.
Movement through wind and weather strengthens the whole structure, and flowers and fruit are the natural signs of a healthy, well-nourished tree.
The human body is much the same.
This is why, at Tree of Health, we work from the roots up.
The essentials that anchor your health:
Your core structure that supports your body:
